Let us envision what is to come…
It is December 31st, 2025. Who do you see when you gaze into the mirror? How are your eyes dancing? How erectly are you standing? How curiously are you staring? How bright are the corners of your mouth? How deeply are you breathing? Who do you perceive gazing back at you?
The transitional energies of moving from the Chinese zodiac year of the dragon to the year of the snake are large and expansive. And with it, the invitation to more life next Gregorian year is written in the most delicate calligraphy on gold edge gilded paper. The snake famously symbolises transformation, shedding of the old, new tender skin, high levels of discernment, and moving close to the earth. The caveat to whatever your resolutions or goals or intentions or prayers or hopes is you must step into yourself. Fully.
Now, come back to present from this precognitive vision: at the precipice of another timeline. Look at you feet as they ready to step over the threshold.
Wherever you go, there you are. ~Confucius
In this ever-changing world, where the worlds of AI fantasies and “real life” get harder and harder to immediately distinguish, the currency is your Self. In fact, the beauty of stepping into yourself is in how well you can hear your Self, trust your Self, accept your Self, see your Self, honour the spark of the Divine that is embedded within your Self. It is from this baseline that you are able to engage with the external world. You cannot do this with skill when you are beside yourself, or above, or below exactly where you are. When you know your own essence, you own home frequency, you are sharper in your discernment. You are at home everywhere you go. You are less willing to be swayed by every trend, every opinion, every fear. You become the love that produces animation in your life. You are life itself.
This is not a year to run away from yourself. Gently, you can touch into your softer parts. Like a snake unzipping old skin, you move slowly, deliberately. There is no rush to being and becoming. Any moment spent in the space of who you are is a lifetime in itself. We can suspend human definitions of time for now, for your soul is timeless.
My prayer is that we step into 2025 with grace, respect for self, compassion for other, and love for the earth.
See you on the other side, friends.
